In 1935, the Waterbury-Naugatuck line was cut when a bridge on South Main St was rebuilt, and Conn Company didnt have the tracks put back. So service ran Naugatuck - Derby - New Haven, with a bus connection from the south side of Naugatuck into Waterbury. The photo of 1913 was taken during CR&L days (note the RAILWAY AND LIGHTING COMPANY under the CONNECTICUT). 1913 was transferred from Waterbury Division to Derby Division some time in 1935 (Ed Wadhams shows it in Waterbury on the 1935 roster but in Derby on the 1936 roster). Since the car is carrying a SEYMOUR sign, its northbound, probably just before Rimmon Pond turnout just north of Seymour. This may have been the fan trip of May 2 1937, where pictures were taken at Derby barn as well.
