0383 and other cars stored on the former Hartford-New Britain interurban line, near Balfs where they were junked. The photo was taken not long after April 25 1937, since thats when the New Britain line was bustituted and trolley service ended in New Britain. There was NO 0383 on the Conn Company: what you see is 0353, hastily made into a wrecker from old city car 876 around August 1928 (it became the second 0353, the first one having been junked right about then). The plow at the right of the picture is 0220, New Britain's last remaining plow, and behind 0353 are two of the 1827-1831 interurbans (nearest ones number looks like 1831, but would need to see the original photo). None of these ex-CR&L New Britain cars went to New Haven.
