Though it may be difficult to make out, this car - ex-United Railways (later St Louis Public Service) 60 - is one of the most unique electric cars in preservation, seen here on November 28 2003. It is the only surviving sprinkler car, designed to keep dust down on streets. Built in 1895, it survived in later years as a weed killer and eventually made its way to the Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood MO. Notice the nozzles mounted on the front bumper.
