This is ex-South Shore 375. It is seen here in April 1999. This car has a very interesting history. It was built in 1925 by St Louis Car Company as Indiana Service Corporation interurban combine 375. In 1941, all three cars were sold to the South Shore. 375 was one of two that were stripped of electrical equipment and converted into express package trailers (the third became line car 1100). This car ran in passenger service for years, but after it was retired it sat behind the South Shore shops in Michigan City until 1996. This photo was taken soon after it was moved to Iola Park in Scottsburg, Indiana, where it is displayed in Iola Park, near the long-razed Interstate Public Service shop complex.
