8383 is just enterering
Ralph, coming out from the Broadway (Brooklyn)-Jamaica El. That nice little
control tower on the el, controlled the intersection of the Broadway El
with the Lexington Ave (Brooklyn) El which was near the Gates Ave Station.
Just a few yards in front of the Witt was the Empre Theatre, and also the
gas oven dealer to which my mother would take me monthly to pay our Brooklyn
Union Gas Co. bill. The RKO Bushwick was on the left hand side of
the street.
