Lew Shapiro's Indiana

"This is a car built for the Indianapolis, New Castle and Toledo. (Running from Indy to New Castle along the Peoria and Eastern line of the NYC)  It was absorbed into Union Traction fairly early, so that dates this photo to the Early teens or Zero's.  I would hazard a guess at very soon after the line was opened. ('07 I think without references in front of me).  The photo is either taken in Indy or New Castle.  I would probably guess New Castle, but that is a guess." Back to Lew Shapiro page
