San Diego Trolley
Southbound train at the
Santa Fe RR. Station (AMTRAK) on the left. A Coaster commuter train is
waiting at the far left for another trip up the coast to Oceanside, home
of Camp Pendleton Marine Base. The bldg in the background used to be the
BEKINS MOVING CO. warehouse, but was converted to office use. The trolley
uses the area that was occupied by 2 Santa Fe RR tracks. They go north
to Old Town on this r-o-w where the line swings off into Mission Valley
and will use it for the extension to University City when that is built.
