272 at Fordham Road and Southern Boulevard on August 15 1939. This was the eastern terminal of 207th Street on Route X. George Votava, one of the best photogs in NY, began taking pix in 1935 and when he passed away a few years ago, the vultures descended upon his collection and scooped up everything before most knew he was gone.
