Metro A Line

The Metro A-Line runs from downtown Los Angeles to downtown Long Beach, and about 90% of it's route is along the old Pacific Electric right of way, which ran from 1902 until (under the yesteryear LAMTA) it was discontinued in April 1961.

Here's a circa 1996 A-Line (then Blue Line) train outbound at Willow Station, at the southern end of the private right-of-way, and the beginning of street running in Long Beach

It is leaving the private right-of-way, and entering street level running along Long Beach Blvd. This is the same point where PE trains entered traffic, only at that time, Long Beach Blvd was called "American Ave"
