Car 88
(Per Every Hour on the Hour, CERA 130) This was from a group of second hand cars.
This car had an interesting history, as one of a group of five car bodies purchased from St. Louis Car Company in 1918 (they were built 10 years earlier for the St Louis, Monte Sano and Southern but never purchased by that road). The WBandA added trucks, motors, hardware and eventually Tomlinson Tightlock automatic couplers.
In 1934 all but #88 were stripped of their electrical equipment and wiring, demotored, and thence used as trailers. The equipment and motors were used to motorize the Brill 200-series steel trailers, most of which survived to run on the BandA till abandonment in 1950.
