Frankford Depot between 1923 and 1928. Rt 58 stopped running on September 1 1928 and didn't get loops at both ends for single-end cars until September 9 1923. The car on the left is a 3000-series one-man converted open car, which had been rebuilt by PRT from open cars of 1899-1900 vintage and Brill construction. Those cars were originally two-man, but were rebuilt for one-man operation in 1922. As converted, most ran until 1928, when they were replaced by 5200's that were also retrofitted for one-man service, though two were sent to Folsom Depot for tripper service until 1931. The converted opens were gone by 1932.
