1651 on the Dyre Avenue line at the south terminal at Boston Road in the Bronx. The north terminal was at Dyre Avenue and the Bronx-Mt Vernon line. Single tracked, one car line about 10 blocks long which TARS tried again and again to abandon along with the rest of the Mt Vernon lines but couldn't because of political pressure from Bronx politicians. It finally went on June 28 1938 and the 1651 was towed to Garden Avenue for scrap, becoming the last 4-wheel Birney car to carry passengers on the 3rd Avenue system.
