Car 17, freshly outshopped by Wason (order 13770), is ready for delivery in October 1913.

Cars 17-24 were built to service the Saybrook - New London run for SLER after it was determined that the big Jewett cars (1-10 and 14-16) were too heavy for a bridge in Old Lyme.
