Rails for many Philadelphia car lines remained in place long after they were abandoned. This is single track on Adams just east of Castor which had been used by Rt 75 cars before conversion to trackless trolley . Rt 75, operating from Richmond-Orthodox near the Delaware River, past the Frankford El, and west on Wyoming to the loop at 17th and Pulaski off Erie Avenue, was converted to trackless on April 19 1948, two days after the last Peter Witt “eighty hundred” cars operated the line
